FOUNDATION ENROLMENT 2021

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you for your interest in Langwarrin Park Primary School.

This year, due to the COVID-19 restrictions, our process for enrolment will be altered. Currently we are unable to offer tours of our school to you and your child, however we have a video for you to watch which includes the information that you would be given on these tours. There are also a number of attachments that you are encouraged to read.

Eligibility

To be eligible for Foundation enrolment your child must be 5 years old by 30 April in the year in which they start school.

Our School Zone

Our school zone can be found on the website www.findmyschool.vic.gov.au Students residing in this zone are guaranteed a place at our school which is determined on the basis of your permanent residential address. Siblings are also guaranteed a place. We will offer places to those who live outside the zone after this first round of placements have been approved.

Enrolment

Enrolment forms can be downloaded from this site; alternatively you can call the office 9775 7533 and we will mail the forms to you. Evidence of birth and immunisation status must be provided in order for a place to be offered.

You are welcome to send a completed enrolment form with the required documentation attached to Langwarrin Park Primary School, 19-27 Northgateway LANGWARRIN 3910 or via email langwarrin.park.ps@edumail.vic.gov.au

Enrolment forms are expected to be submitted by Friday 31 July and letters of acceptance will be issued by 10 August.

Transition

Our transition program provides students with a number of opportunities to visit our school; engage with teachers and students; and get to experience what happens at Primary School. This program will begin in term 4 and will be accompanied by Parent Information sessions. More details about this will be provided at a later date.

Specific concerns

Please contact the school on 9775 7533 to speak with Ms Deb Haddow (Assistant Principal, Welfare & Wellbeing) if you have any particular concerns about the learning needs of your child.

We are very proud of our school community and are looking forward to meeting you as you begin this new stage of your child’s learning journey.
